Jigglypuff Crochet Pattern

This pattern is worked in the round and a stitch marker and row counter are highly recommended. Sewing pins help keep the limbs in place while attaching. A finished amigurumi Jigglypuff should be 5” tall by 5” wide.

What You’ll Need:

  • 1 ball of worsted-weight yarn in light pink

  • 1 scrap of worsted-weight yarn in black

  • 3.50mm crochet hook

  • Black felt for ears

  • Green and white felt for eyes

  • Fabric glue

  • Stitch Marker

  • Polyfill (stuffing)

  • Scissors

  • Sewing Pins

  • Darning needle

  • Row Counter

Abbreviations:

ch=chain
sc=single crochet
ss=slip stitch
st(s)=stitch(es)
F/O=fasten off
inc=increase
dec=decrease

Gauge:

20 stitches x 20 rows = 4” in single crochet

Pokémon Pattern:

Body/Head: Use light pink yarn
1. Ch 2. 6 sc in the first ch. Do not join.
2. 2 sc in each st around.
3. *1 sc, inc. Repeat from * around.
4. *2 sc, inc. Repeat from * around.
5. *3 sc, inc. Repeat from * around.
6. *4 sc, inc. Repeat from * around.
7. *5 sc, inc. Repeat from * around.
8. *6 sc, inc. Repeat from * around.
9 – 14. Sc in each st around.
15. *6 sc, dec. Repeat from * around.
16. *5 sc, dec. Repeat from * around.
17. *4 sc, dec. Repeat from * around.
18. *3 sc, dec. Repeat from * around.
19. *2 sc, dec. Repeat from * around.
Stuff.
20. *1 sc, dec. Repeat from * around.
21. Dec around.
Ss and F/O. Use tail to sew up the hole.

Hair Curl:
Use light pink yarn
1. Ch 2. 6 sc in the first ch. Do not join.
2. 2 sc in each st around.
3. *1 sc, inc. Repeat from * around.
4 – 6. Sc in each st around.
7. *1 sc, dec. Repeat from * around.
8 – 11. Sc in each st around.
Stuff.
12. Dec around.
13. Sc in each st around.
Ss and F/O. Leave a tail long enough to sew up the hole.
Fold ends into the hair curl and keep it in place by weaving the tail in. Use the rest of the tail to attach the hair curl to the top of the head.

Ears: Use light pink yarn/make 2
1. Ch 2. 4 sc in the first ch. Do not join.
2. 2 sc in each st around.
3. Sc in each st around.
4. *1 sc, inc. Repeat from * around.
5. Sc in each st around.
6. *2 sc, inc. Repeat from * around.
7. Sc in each st around.
Ss and F/O. Leave long enough tail to attach to the top of the head beside the hair curl. Do not stuff.

Arms: Use light pink yarn/make 2
1. Ch 2. 6 sc into the first ch. Do not join.
2 – 5. Sc in each st around.
Stuff. Ss and F/O. Leave a tail long enough to attach to the body.

Feet: Use light pink yarn/make 2
1. Ch 2. 6 sc in the first ch. Do not join.
2. 2 sc in each st around.
3. *1 sc, inc. Repeat from * around.
4 – 6. Sc in each st around.
7. *1 sc, dec. Repeat from * around.
8 – 9. Sc in each st around.
Stuff.
10. Dec around.
Ss and F/O. Leave a tail long enough to sew up the hole and attach to the bottom of the body, just below the arms. Weave in all your ends.

Felt Features:
Cut out two black triangles (inner ears) from your felt and glue them to the ears with your fabric glue. Cut out two large white circles for the eyes. Cut out two slightly smaller green circles for the eyes and glue them to the large white circles. Cut out two smaller white circles to glue onto the green part of the eye. Glue the eyes onto the body/head just below and off to the side of the hair curl. Use the scrap piece of black yarn to embroider on a mouth.
